Fall Into Baking w. Lakanto

Do you love baking? What about Fall? I feel like (mostly thanks to Hallmark) you can't have a real Fall without some baking!! I live in sunny South Florida, so there are no falling leaves, there's no "cooler"weather, none of the usual things that the rest of the States would consider as signs of a fall season. But that doesn't stop me from finding a way to make it fall here, and the way I do that in my home is bringing on the baking! Lots of cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves, and mostly pumpkin everything!

So what happens when you enter the fall season trying to cut back on all that processed sugar and live a healthier lifestyle? Does that mean you need to cut out the baking? Not at all! There are SO many new alternatives now to make baked goods healthy, low carb, no sugar, and guilt free! Whether it is almond or coconut flour substitutes for flour, or sugar free chocolate chips, you can swap out almost everything without compromising flavor!

One of the brands that creates countless quality alternatives is Lakanto. This brand uses Monk Fruit to create sugar free alternatives that help people achieve a sugar free lifestyle. They provide Sweeteners, Simple Syrups, Baking/Pancake Mix, Brownie Mixes, Sugar Free Nutella alternatives, Sugar free Chocolate Chips, and more!

I was blessed with the opportunity of hosting a Lakanto Fall into Baking party through Tryazon, which means I received an INCREDIBLE party pack full of Lakanto baking goodies to test, share, and review! The party pack was valued at $145, containing the following items:
  • 10 bags Classic Monkfruit Sweetener
    • The Lakanto Classic Monk Fruit Sweetener has zero net carbs, zero glycemic, zero calories, keto approved AND bakes just like sugar! And I got to gift one of these to every single one of my guests!
  • Golden Sweetener
    • Lakanto Golden Monkfruit Sweetener is a zero-calorie, zeroglycemic sweetener. Like the Classic Sweetener but with a slightly different taste, similar to brown sugar or cane sugar. The proprietary mixture of high-quality monk fruit extract and non-GMO erythritol is a convenient, one-to-one sugar substitute.
  • Suntella Chocolate Sunflower Spread
    • Made with sunflower seeds and rich, delicious cocoa, this spread is vegan, keto-friendly, and sweetened with Lakanto Monkfruit Sweetener.
  • Recipe cards
    • Chocolate Chip Cookies & Chocolate Cookies w. Suntella Mousse Frosting
  • 10 Lakanto totes
  • Lakanto Party Host Guide to help you plan and carry out the party!
Here's the video of my unboxing:

With Covid still lurking, and South Florida's numbers still high, we decided to keep this party virtual. But that didn't stop us from making this party extra fun! In fact, I think it made it even better because each guest was actually able to bake their own treats along with me! Before the party, I will be dropping off goody bags to each guests home. Each bag contained the following:

  • 1 bag Classic Monkfruit Sweetener
  • Container with 1/2 cup Golden Sweetener
  • Recipe Card
  • Personal video message cards (using Penless Stickers) inviting them to the party!
Here’s what the goody bags looked like!

If you’ve never heard of Penless message stickers, these super cute stickers include unique QR Codes to upload video messages ! I received them in a past Tryazon party and totally love how creative they are. All the recipients need to do is scan with a smart phone camera and your video will pop right up for them! The stickers come in lots of unique shapes besides these stars, like smiley faces, hearts, are seashells, sea turtles, flamingoes, and more! Check them out at Penless.com 🎥

Okay, now back to the Baking party! We did a half in person, half Zoom Baking Party and honestly I was a bit worried with how it would work and whether everyone would be able to follow along with the recipe. It actually went really smoothly (aside from the screaming toddlers joining at my house). The recipe cards were very clear and easy to follow, so we all had great results!

I also had one invitee who couldn't make it to the party but made them on her own and made a great video to document her baking. They looked yummy and she said they tasted great!! We spoke about how surprising it was that we used a sugar substitute and they still tasted so sweet and delicious. In her own words, she was "like Woah!". Definitely a Woah-worthy product!

Side Note: Returning to my fall & pumpkin obsession, fall is always full of pumpkin recipes for me. Pumpkin scones, pumpkin pies, pumpkin madeleines, pumpkin chocolate chip cookies (that's the favorite), all with a classic PSL in hand. I will definitely be trying these products to make my famous *among family&friends* Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cookies, I will let you know whether these Sweeteners can stand the test and become a new staple in my baking pantry.
