Game Night! What's on Your Table?

Telestrations, Upside Drawn

Game Nights are a big deal at my house! This is something that has both brought our family & friends together as well as torn us apart (all in good fun of course). Thanks to Tryazon I was able to add a new game to our collection. It's a revamp of a game called Telestrations, which I had never actually played or heard of before this party.

If you are new to my page and have not heard of Tryazon before... here's the deal: it is one of the best sampling communities there is, where you get to apply for Parties and receive completely free products to review and share with friends and family. I have hosted several of these parties and I have come to find some of my favorite products through it (Examples: Organic India Tea - a.k.a. best tea ever & Silk'n Infinity - an affordable laser hair removal device that you can use at home!). If you want more information, watch this INFO VIDEO and to sign up go HERE.

Here's a basic rundown of the game I received, free, to try and share with friends:
(This description is straight from the Brand's site)

It’s Telestrations, but Upside Down! This take on the award winning Telestrations game gives a whole new meaning to laugh out loud miscommunication. Telestrations®: Upside Drawn puts a teamwork spin on “The Telephone Game Sketched Out” by putting the pen in one person’s hand, and control of the board in another’s! Only through “Up” or “Down” directives can the team put the pen and board together to guess the clue first! The team to reach 20 points wins!
  • Recommended Age: 12+ Great for parties!
  • Number of Players: 3-12
  • Play Time: 20 min
  • Includes: 4 sketch boards,4 dry-erase markers,1 category die, 100 cards - includes 1000 words and phrases, 60 scoring chips, and instruction book
I created a quick unboxing video showing the contents of the box and the basic rules of how to play. Watch it here:

As part of the Tryazon Party Pack I received 2 of these awesome board games to try (& share). So we had a game night (with some incredibly delicious Chik-fil-A included) and tested it out. The basic rules of the game as mentioned in the video above, is for the "guide" on each team to slide around the whiteboards underneath the "artist"'s marker in order to draw the hidden prompt. All teams are drawing the same prompt and although they cannot look at each other's whiteboards, they are allowed to listen to the other teams guesses during each round (which honestly would be impossible not too hear).Whichever team can guess what the person, place, thing, action, or phrase, is first, wins the round. You can get different points for the different categories and the team to earn 20 points (or coins) first wins!

We had so much fun playing this game and had no complaints! It was pretty challenging, and it makes sense that the age range starts at 12 years old. It takes some serious thinking and motor skills to do well in this game. It can be a bit frustrating for those who are really competitive because it is definitely a team sport and you really on both the guessing and drawing/guiding abilities of the players. It may cause some ripples, just like many guessing and team games will, but as long as the people playing know how to have fun, this will definitely be a super enjoyable game to add to a game collection. I would absolutely recommend!

Before you go, here's a fun timelapse of our game night:
