  Ever wanted to bring the sweet smells & flavors of a Jewish bakery into your home? Well this recipe is a perfect way to do just that! When I was younger, in elementary school, my parents loved to visit the Jewish bakeries that populated Miami Beach and try all the yumminess they have to offer. The smells and taste of those pastries & breads remind me of those childhood memories walking Lincoln Road into the small Jewish bakeries and having our fill of fresh Rugelach, Challah, and of course Chocolate Babka!  Last year I went through an Italian pastry phase and learned to make Rainbow Cookies (or 7-layer cookies) & Pignoli cookies. This year I decided I wanted to jump into the Jewish pastries, which scared me a bit cause they seemed so much more complex. But I found a pretty straightforward Chocolate Babka recipe on Food&Wine and tweaked it as I went along and let me tell you, the results were a total win!!  A few months ago, I wrote a post about a Tryazon party where I able to try this amazing brand of grass fed dairy  products, Truly. They have some  of the creamiest and most flavorful butters and cheeses that I have ever eaten! Well I had the blessing of hosting another Truly party, this time focused on holiday baking. Just a few weeks ago I received an awesome package from Tryazon with some amazing products to test from Rituals Cosmetics. Rituals is "a unique luxury lifestyle brand focused on ancient eastern traditions for body and home". In September, Rituals launched on Sephora.com and is now available for purchase online! The Rituals brand celebrates traditions and rituals with products that smell incredible and feel luxurious. As part of the Tryabox, I received three products, a foaming shower gel, a daily body scrub, and a body cream. The specific line I received in this Tryabox was the Ritual of Sakura line, celebrating the Japanese tradition of honoring Cherry Blossom Trees.
